Angels & Zombies

Angels & Zombies have been revealed but do you know how they came to be? Let’s step back a few months…

Pascal, the king of darkness, took control of the Pond in August and implemented laws that solidified his power. However, not everyone agreed with Pascal's rule - the Royal Army wanted their leader back, and the Invisible ducks plotted to reclaim the Pond. Despite this, Pascal remained confident in his position as long as he had the majority and claimed to have a close relationship with Cain.

Pascal demanded the sacrifice of 694 OG ducks as compensation for lives lost during the previous Thanksgiving and proposed a "great conciliation burning" for the Pond's anniversary. The burning took place on October 1st, lasting until the required number of sacrifices was reached, and Pascal promised future compensation to those who participated.

In return, a musty cookie or radioactive cookie was given to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. However, the burn event only resulted in 523 sacrifices and was not enough to appease Cain, who threatened to unleash demons on the pond.

In the aftermath of the event, the pond faced economic crisis and hunger, leading ducks to either eat rotten cookies, embark on a journey through the desert in search of new land, or wait for Lacsap to improve the situation.

In November, a sense of unease fell over the pond as news of Cain's approaching demons spread. Pascal's absence had the community concerned, as he had not been seen or heard from in several days. The Royal Army had been disbanded and King Abel had been captured, leaving some ducks to consider ways to empower Kenny to reclaim the throne and restore peace to the pond. Others, fearful of the impending threat, prepared a Thanksgiving feast as a new peace offering to Cain.

Pascal reappeared during Thanksgiving, handing out moldy cookies as a way to make the ducks weaker. After giving out the cookies, Pascal left the pond and Kenny took charge, sending soldiers to protect those ducks who chose to embark on a journey through the desert in search of a safe, fertile land. Those who remained behind prepared for the possibility of war as Cain's army approached, seeking revenge.

During the Thanksgiving Cookies Banquet, pond members were asked to choose which OG Duck should eat the cookies. Those who ate the musty cookie turned into angels, while those who ate the radioactive cookies became sick and eventually turned into zombies.
