Nonconformist Ducks White Paper

I. Abstract

Nonconformist Ducks is a unique, deflationary NFT ecosystem based on a narrative of Ducks battling Hell Ducks to claim ownership of the pond. Our ecosystem consists of various collections with a set max supply, designed to provide both value and entertainment to holders. With engaging lore, participation in IP Rights, and a strong community focus, Nonconformist Ducks are more than a collection; it's a growing digital society.

II. The Ecosystem

Our ecosystem is made up of multiple deflationary collections:

• OG Ducks

• Hell Ducks

• 2nd Gen Ducks

• Upside Ducks

The deflationary model arises from the various burn mechanisms within and across collections that not only evolve the aesthetics and rarity of the assets but also generate tokens and unlock special activities.

III. $QUACKS Tokenomics

$QUACKS, our native token, is integral to the Nonconformist Ducks economy. This deflationary token is obtained primarily through soft staking.

By holding your ducks, you earn $QUACKS daily, based on the type of assets that you hold. There is a finite supply of 400,000,000 $QUACKS, distributed as follows:

• 10% to Nonconformist Ducks treasury

• 90% to duck holders over 4 years or until 360,000,000 tokens have been issued.

• The token will continue to burn until a supply of 180,000,000 is reached, at which point we shift to a balanced model.

IV. Gamification & Lore

Our ecosystem thrives on gamification. With races every Wednesday, the Eternal War, and several other activities, we offer holders the chance to win numerous prizes within the ecosystem.

V. IP Rights

We have created a decoupling platform that allows holders to extract traits from ducks and apply them to 4T ducks, both OG and Hell, through burning. We aim to work exclusively with this group on image rights deals, rewarding those who agree to the commercial use of their creations.

VI. The Social Factor

Nonconformist Ducks prides itself on being a strong, engaging social platform. We have one of the healthiest, most fun communities in the entire web3 ecosystem, with annual meet-ups around the Caribbean and daily quality interactions based on our lore.

VII. Future Directions

We are actively exploring IP rights deals that have the potential to open new avenues of revenue and increase the visibility of Nonconformist Ducks. We cannot reveal specific details at this point, but we promise that our community will be the first to know when we're ready to share. We are also planning to release a merchandise line featuring our assets, which is designed to ensure that Nonconformist Ducks remains a project of value, engagement, and growth in the evolving NFT space.

Choosing a Duck

A duck is a duck, so you can never go wrong by choosing one that aesthetically pleases you. However, in the pond, various activities require specific ducks to participate, and with Pond Map 5.0 specific ducks will be eligible for certain rewards. Check out this cheat sheet to explore different collections that unlock special opportunities for engaging with the community.

The Collections

OG

The original Nonconformist Ducks, affectionately known as the OGs, constitute the very first collection of ducks. These ducks have experienced a lot, from races and jousting to exotic vacations, and they hold a rich history in the kingdom of Abel.

A duck is a duck; you can't go wrong with any duck in this collection. Here are some key traits to take into account:

1. 4 Traits (4T): The 'canvas' to create your perfect duck in the decoupling machine.

2. Jason Masks: Celebrate every Friday the 13th and compete to win the golden Jason mask.

3. Upper Class Ducks: Allows you to play Poker in the pond and will receive rewards from wine distribution in Pond Map 5.0.

4. Angel Ducks: Can be used to create your OG team in Eternal War.

5. Zombie Ducks: Can also be used to create your OG team in Eternal War.

Hell

When King Abel decided to throw his brother and the traitors into the oven, they went straight to hell, and from there they formed an evil army to take revenge; In charge is King Cain, and with the army of the feared Horse Ducks, the Hell Ducks are a unique journey through the underworld.

Here are some key traits to take into account:

1. Horseducks: Allows you to play Poker in the pond and can be used to build your Eternal War team.

2. Jason Masks: Celebrate every Friday the 13th and compete to win the golden Jason mask.

3. Demons: Can be used to create your Hell team in Eternal War.

4. Gatekeepers (Leeches): These will earn rewards from external revenue sources coming in Pond Map 5.0. Feed Leeches until October 28, 2023.

2nd Gen

If having a nonconformist duck is incredible, wait until you see these baby ducks, with new traits in their golden, OG, and Hell versions all with unique styles, these Quackers are much more than a pretty face. But don’t get too attached because they are great for feeding leeches.

Here are some key traits to take into account:

1. Golden 2nd Gens: These will acquire rewards based on The Village in Pond Map 5.0.

2. Potioned 2nd Gens: You might notice some transformed baby 2nd Gens that have been fattened up to feed leeches or mutated into whole new animals or acquired new rare traits. These were transformed using potions.

Upside Ducks

These ducks were created when a 2nd Gen Duck opened a portal and an OG and Hell Duck were sacrificed as they passed through and an Upside Duck was born.

There are 3 classes of Upsides: A, B and C. 

If you are building your army, class A ducks will be the most powerful.
